Getting Hold of Us and What to Have Ready

Phone is fastest. Five minutes of specifics usually saves a wasted visit.

By phone

(08) 9560 5629. Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Closed Sunday.

This is the fastest route for anything urgent — no hot water, water where it should not be, a drain backing up, or a gas smell you have already made safe.

By form

The enquiry form on this page goes to the same place. It suits jobs with no deadline: a quote for a hot water changeover, a gas point for a barbecue, a list of small items, or a renovation you are still planning.

Include your suburb. Travel time across the metro is the single biggest factor in when someone can attend, and an enquiry without a location cannot be scheduled.

What to have ready

Hot water. The data plate on the unit carries the brand, model and often the manufacture date. Photograph it. Also note whether it is gas or electric, a tank or a wall-mounted continuous flow unit, and what exactly is happening — no hot water at all, not enough, a leak, or a noise.

Drains. Which fixtures are affected, whether it is one or all of them, and whether this has happened before. A whole-house backup points somewhere different from a single slow shower.

Gas. Which appliance, and whether the meter box holds a natural gas meter or LPG bottles.

Leaks. Where the water is appearing, whether it is clean or dirty, and whether your meter moves with all taps closed. That last check takes thirty minutes and narrows the job enormously — the method is on the leak detection page.

If it is a gas emergency

Do not use this page. Turn the appliance off, open doors and windows, do not touch electrical switches, and get outside if the smell is strong. Call the gas network emergency line printed on your gas bill and on the meter box — it operates twenty-four hours. Call 000 if there is any risk to life. The gas leak page has the full sequence.

Before work starts

Ask whoever attends for their plumbing contractor licence details, and their gas fitting authorisation if the job involves gas. These are separate in WA. About this site explains how enquiries are passed on and why that matters.

Where we work

Across the Perth metro. The service areas page lists the suburbs covered individually, and our services has the full list of work.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What information should I have ready when I call?

For hot water, the brand, model number and rough age from the data plate on the unit, plus whether it is gas or electric and tank or wall-mounted. For a drain, where it backs up and how often. For gas, which appliance and whether the property is on mains gas or bottles. And your suburb, because travel decides scheduling.

Can I book outside business hours?

The office is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm, and closed Sunday. You can leave a message or submit the form at any hour and it is picked up the next working morning. Genuine emergencies outside hours are triaged rather than guaranteed, and a suspected gas escape should go to the network emergency line first.

How soon will someone get back to me?

Within business hours, usually the same day. A form submitted overnight or on a Sunday is answered the next working morning. If you have no hot water, an active leak or a blocked sewer, phone rather than submit a form — the queue for a ringing phone is much shorter than the queue for an inbox.
