We do not inspect, audit or verify any contractor's licensing, registration, insurance, qualifications or workmanship. Being referred through this site is not an endorsement, a certification or a warranty of competence.
Before any work begins, you should confirm directly with the person attending:
- their plumbing contractor licence or plumbing tradesperson licence, as applicable
- their gas fitting authorisation, if the job touches gas — in Western Australia this is a separate licence from plumbing
- their current public liability insurance
- the scope and the price, in writing, before work starts
Licensing in Western Australia is administered by the Building and Energy division of the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, and licence details can be checked with them.
